Meet Shawna Noel Schill, a professional photographer based in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Shawna works as the Senior Photographer at the University of North Dakota and has two decades of experience in marketing and editorial work.

Shawna often collaborates with local companies to create imagery for marketing campaigns, websites, and various collateral, infusing each project with her signature style and passion for visual storytelling.

Shawna's interest in photography was ignited by her love for storytelling and connection while growing up in Minot, North Dakota. Armed with degrees in English and photography from the University of North Dakota, she started her journalism career and worked at publications like the Colorado Springs Gazette, the Forum of Fargo-Moorhead, and the Grand Forks Herald.

In 2004, Shawna started her own business, Shawna Noel Photography, as a part-time endeavor. However, her venture swiftly grew into a full-time business. Shawna still captures family photos and senior portraits as part of her freelance work.

Outside of work, you'll often find Shawna nurturing her green thumb in the garden, practicing yoga, or baking (or simply enjoying the delicious results!).

Shawna's favorite moments are those spent connecting with others. A true people person, she delights in forging genuine relationships with her clients, approaching each interaction with curiosity and a genuine desire to make new friends.

Whether she's capturing photos at the university or collaborating with local businesses, Shawna's ability to create authentic connections shines through in every frame.
